Social Media Tip #2: The Three Components of an Effective Facebook Message

Facebook is being used by countless companies to market and connect with customers. The challenge with this is News Feeds are being overrun by marketing posts. Therefore, your company needs to find ways to ensure your Facebook posts STAND OUT amongst the rest. 

An effective Facebook post consists of three important components that will aid in catching the attention of your fans: 

1. Eye-catching

2. Short and to the point copy
3. Call-to-action 

Let's walk through the details of these components:

First, choose a striking image – whether it’s eye-catching due to the colors, characters, animation, text, content or visual effect. The goal is to stop a customer and entice them to read the copy of your post.

Next, come up with the body of the post (1-3 sentences). Keep it simple, relatable and space it out to ensure it is aesthetically pleasing.

Lastly, incorporate a “call-to-action” in the copy of the post. This can be anything from “Click here...” to “’Like’ this if…” to “Comment below…”, or even a simple question. The call-to-action will encourage your fans to directly interact with your post.
